The Youth Orchestra (EPYO), conducted by General Manager Mr. Nathan Black, is a conservatory level, full symphony orchestra in which students are challenged with exceptionally difficult literature, and perform at a number of extra concerts and engagements throughout the year.
The Youth Orchestra (EPYO) is for students:
13 to 23 Years of Age
(advanced 8th graders – college undergrads)
Though the majority of students fit into these age groups, upon request, exceptions are considered on a case-by-case basis at the discretion of the Music Director, in consultation with the conductors.
*tuition rates are subject to change
Rehearsals: Sundays, 3:30pm to 6:30pm
Rehearsal for the Fall and Spring semesters do vary at certain times but will remain consistent.
No qualifying student will be turned away from the EPSYO because of an inability to pay tuition. The EPSYO fundraises to provide tuition payment financial aid for musicians whose families demonstrate exceptional need.
Please note that it is mandatory for students receiving financial assistance to participate in fundraisers.
Time for the anticipation to begin! The EPSYO is thrilled to announce the return of both our summer camp and chamber music programs. Do not miss this opportunity to work with some of El Paso’s biggest names in music at a 4-day summer camp. There, you will learn all of the inner workings of Chamber music and show off your talents at a recital. Scan the QR code to apply now.
